Only 7 miles from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park, our quaint lodge and cozy cabins offer the perfect base camp to explore Yellowstone and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. Stillwater Outfitters and lodge is located on highway 212, 3 miles east of Cooke City Montana and 62 miles from Red Lodge Montana across the Beartooth highway reaching elevations over 10,000 ft described as "the most scenic highway in America." You may also access the lodge over the Chief Joseph scenic highway 296 from Cody, Wyoming.

Our rustic log cabins are clean, quiet and comfy, providing you with everything you need. They are a wonderful accompaniment to any pack trip or day ride; a great way to begin and end a trip is with us at our lodge. Cabins are fully furnished with linens included. Each heated cabin has two double beds, and small bath with a shower. There is also a recreational room with lounge area, tv, phone, pool table, and hot tub. We offer continental breakfast with homemade rolls or muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, milk, juice, tea, and coffee, in our dining room to those guests staying with us.

The lodge is open summers from May through September.

HORSEBACK RIDING DAY RIDES/ LODGING/ MEAL PACKAGES

If you are doing a horseback day ride, or multi-day pack trip with us, we offer different packages when combining one of our Yellowstone day horseback rides or Yellowstone fly fishing horseback day rides with lodging or with lodging and meals. Stay in one of our cozy cabins, wake up to a home cooked meal and embark on your horseback ride. You may choose to stay 2 nights and enjoy a wonderful supper with us as well.
