DAY RIDES
We invite you to come with us and enjoy a day horseback in Yellowstone to experience the wonders away from crowds and roads. Our day rides explore a number of Yellowstone's trails throughout the Lamar Valley and northeast corner of the park. Whether a beginner or advanced in riding experience, anyone is welcome! With safety and satisfaction our biggest concern, our guides are first aid certified and have many years of experience guiding in the Yellowstone region.

Day rides typically start from the trailhead you or your guide has around 9:00 A.M., and return to the trailhead around 3:00 P.M. after taking in all of the amazing scenery and wildlife along your ride. Lunch and snacks are provided along the way.

FLY FISHING DAY RIDES
If you are looking to fish one of Yellowstone's famous or remote streams, we also offer custom fishing day rides. Our horses can get you back in away from the crowds in no time. Fishing horseback day rides typically last 7-8 hours; we are more flexible with earlier starts to get you where you want to be fishing. We supply a delicious lunch and snacks; however, we do require fishermen to provide their own personal fishing gear and fishing licenses. Fishing licenses may be obtained at many locations inside Yellowstone and in Cooke City and run $15 for a 3 day permit, $25 for 7 day, and $35 for the season. We sell a select assortment of flies at our lodge.

MULTI-DAY PACK TRIPS

Are you looking to really get away and experience something unlike anything you've ever imagined? Then a Yellowstone horseback pack trip is for you!! With safety our number one concern, we can customize a multi-day, pack trip to explore Yellowstone backcountry, and enter an environment of solitude and adventure.

You will start your trip at our guest lodge in Cooke City, Montana, where you will spend the night and wake up to a home cooked breakfast before you embark on your Yellowstone adventure. You will then travel into the Park to the trailhead where the mules will be packed and your horse awaits you for the week ahead. Depending on your destination, you will typically ride 6-10 miles and take in all of the amazing wildlife and scenery, just as the Indians and explorers historically did before us: by horseback. Bison, antelope, mule deer, elk, fox, wolves, coyotes, otter, beaver, and eagles are just a few of the inhabitants you may view throughout your stay in Yellowstone's backcountry. Your new "home" for the night will then be set up by your guides and a delicious campfire cooked dinner will be served. Put your feet up at the campfire and know that you have already begun to make the first of many lasting memories to come on your Yellowstone adventure. Leave all of the hard work up to us for a relaxing and memorable experience! Depending on your group's desired itinerary, whether a progressive trip, with riding and seeing the most of Yellowstone as the focus, or fishing and base camps are the plan, we can customize a trip for you that is sure to exceed your wildest expectations!  End your Yellowstone excursion at our lodge as you enjoy a last supper reminiscing your pack trip in our dining room and one last night in our cozy cabins; you may even enjoy soaking your tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub!!

We have select trips with set itineraries and campsites planned; however, you are not limited to those trips.  Our permits allow us to outfit regions throughout Yellowstone National Park which sustain horse and mule travel.  Please let us know if there is a certain trip you are interested in creating and we may be able to accommodate your wishes.

Includes a night’s lodging, breakfast before and a night’s lodging and supper following your pack trip

Starting at $300 / day / person

*must be 8 years or older
Drop Camps $125 / mule and horse needed (including guide's horse)
